First batch of 2025 Merchandise
Good Miracle Monday, all! Miracle Monday in the Summer of Superman no less! For today I wanted to share the first batch of Superman movie merch that I’ve picked up. I guess not counting the shirts and pin from Comicon.
First up: Milk Bone. I have a little Krypto at home, but she won’t be eating these treats. Apparently, the box and comics are going for scalper prices on eBay. It’s a bummer when folks try to take advantage of limited items like this for a quick buck.
Next up is the first batch of six-inch Spin Master toys that have been released. Bonus Nicola Scott Superman movie variant cover for Supergirl #1. I’m still waiting on Hawkgirl and Metamorpho to complete the build of Robot 4. There are also “Battle Strike” versions of the main Justice Gang, but I only got the Hammer. I want to build the Robot and the Hammer only comes in a “Battle Strike” version. It also gave me one that I could keep in the packaging because I think the packaging looks great! It’s even got a “try me!” feature. The sculpts are about what I expected for inexpensive kids toys. Really looking forward to completing that Robot.
From the dreaded Walmart I got the Fortress of Solitude Battle Set. Spin Master is all about Battles I guess. No clue what this Yeti is, it’s not something we’ve seen in any of the trailers. The box says the blood disappears when you warm it up with your hands, but that doesn’t seem to work very well. The Superman, Ultraman, Krypto, and Robot #12 from this set are a smaller 3-inch scale. I think this Superman is going to scale well with the McFarlane giant Kaiju toy. This is the only robot toy I’ve seen that isn’t #4. #12 is the new robot in the extended preview they dropped last month. I may grab the 3-inch heroes and villains pack to get a Robot #4 to go along with Robot #12 for this little fortress. Do I really need another Ultraman though? He’s a bit boring design wise. The best part is the flying pole for Superman and Krypto. I wonder how it’s going to look next to the Super Powers Fortress playset they have coming later this year.
And here we have them all on my new dedicated Superman movie shelf. Given how much they’ve already announced (and I’ve already pre-ordered), I may need a bigger boat.
